100days
Ever since I deleted my Twitter last year I've been kicking around the idea of starting a blog. I wasn't the biggest poster, but I'm hoping that a more long form medium will help me put more out there.
Finding #100DaysToOffload was the push to actually get things started. The basis of the challenge is to make 100 posts in 1 year. This feels doable, unlike posting every day or a similar stricter regime. One post every three days is something that I think will help give me a creative outlet, but not overwhelm.
I chose to build a very simple site to do all of this. Between wanting things to be easy for me to work on and wanting the site to have very good performance this seems like a great choice. The site is built using 11ty a static site generator. I tried multiple and this was the one that felt the best to me. I'm hosting this on Neocities. Of all the ways I looked at to host this one struck me as the site that aligns with what I want out of the internet as a whole. Plus $5 to have the Supporter level things isn't bad when you compare it to most other subscriptions.
Thanks for joining me in this new adventure and hopefully we can reach this goal together.
